Provincial Nominees

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) are the nomination programmes for each province and territory of Canada. Every province has a different population and economy, hence there is a different nomination program adopted by every province (except Quebec) to fit their needs. These nomination programmes enable provinces and territories to nominate the eligible individuals who wish to migrate in Canada and are interested in settling in a province.

PNPs are a popular option for immigration because this can be the fastest option to obtain Permanent Residency of Canada.

Steps of PNP

These programs are known as nominee programs because the provinces cannot approve a person for the permanent residency on their own but can only nominate an individual. The final decision is always taken at national level by the federal government. It is a two-step process

Step 1 – The first step involves nomination by the province.

Step 2 – The candidate who is nominated by a province must submit the application for Permanent Residency to the federal government where the second step that is the decision of the federal government takes place.
